Who trains terrorists?

Letter from brother of Faith Fippinger
February 04, 2004

Dear All,

Faith Fippinger was recently sentenced to three months in prison for trespassing at a long on-going demonstation to shut down the School of the Americas (SOA). Last year Faith was a human shield during the bombing of Baghdad. Upon return home, she was fined $10,000 for traveling to Iraq without official permission by the Office of Foreign Assets Control that oversees the sanctions against Iraq.

Below is a letter from Faith's brother, John, on behalf of his family and
those of us who consider Faith a major hero of our time.

Dear SOA Watch,

I write on behalf of Faith Fippinger's family and friends to thank SOA Watch for being. You have exposed the fact that we have our own terrorist training school. The same type of school that we have condemned other countries for having. It is increasingly difficult to understand how people like Faith and the others could be sent to prison for trespassing, while people like Ken Lay and others, who have ruined the lives of hundreds, are still walking free.

Why are Faith and the others being imprisoned, while George W. Bush and his associates are not being prosecuted for war crimes against humanity? War crimes that have resulted in the deaths of thousands of innocent Iraqis and death sentences for hundreds of our own young men and women of the military.

Why has the United States of America so degraded itself that it is no longer honored, esteemed, and respected by the rest of the world? The answer to that question may be leadership or the lack there of.

Optimistically, Democrats, Independents, and Republicans alike are recognizing a need for a regime change. Where is the regime change needed? For the sake of our country and the world, it is needed in the United States of America.

Peace to all,
John Fippinger (Faith's brother)
