A practical suggestion toward peace

I have a suggestion:
In trying to stay conscious of what's happening on earth right this
minute in terms of loss of species, foreboding climate changes, wars
and desecration of even more . . . I think every meeting, every group
that comes together in fellowship and concern might want to consider
beginning the meeting with some acknowledgement of the gravity of this
time, however that might be done. It's important to build community
with each other on a deeper level. We will probably need it in the days
ahead. This could be done with a moment of silence, with all holding
hands and greeting each other. Perhaps the leader could simply state
it at the beginning of the meeting. Taking time for that acknowledgment
creates a sacred space and honors the importance of our coming together
as concerned beings for planet earth.
Respectfully, Janie Rezner

Excellent suggestion, Janie. And practical, unlike many others.
It would help
us to repent of the damage done to the world and its peoples by the
USA, and change our ways.
Peace,
