Orwell Quotes Describe Creeping Fascism in the US Comment by Larry Ross, April 17, 2007
Orwell's quotes sum up so much of what is happening today in the US as the Bush regime pursues its imperial warpath toward global domination. This is sustained and facilitated by developing a militaristic fascist state at home. One example is that the policies and actions of the Bush Administration must be presented to the public as moral and just and in line with US values such as "freedom, democracy, liberty etc". For example the illegal invasion of Iraq , first to find Saddam's non-existent WMD and the non-existent links to Bin Laden, 9/11 and terrorism. Later the invasion and 'shock and awe' mass bombing was presented as a just and beneficent "liberation of an oppressed people from the Saddam dictatorship" etc. All the noble US 'hot buttons' were pushed and Congress and the public responded as programmed. However the polls now show that an increasing majority no longer believe the Bush Administration and its statements and strategies. Also, the war strategies have led to a worsening situation in Iraq and increase in terrorism where there was none before. Thus to continue the policy of endless wars against terrorism, Bush & Co. will probably have to stage another 9/11 attack on the US to prove to the American people again, after many warnings, that 'terrorism' is a very real and a lethal threat to the US. This time Iran will be accused as the culprit. Will Americans believe this and act as expected to support a new war on Iran? People reacted as expected to the 9/11 event in 2001. They supported Bush's war actions and his popularity soared. He got whatever he wanted from the people and from Congress. Having tried the false flag 9/11 event and found it to be spectacularly successful, as President Lyndon Johnson did when he faked the North Vietnam Gulf of Tonkin attack in 1964, it is highly likely that Bush & Co will try and repeat this successful action but on a larger scale - that is likely to mean a 9/11plus attack. Fright and fear will transfix many doubting Americans and they will go along with whatever Bush wants. His popularity will soar, perhaps not as high as after 9/11, but enough to continue his plans and launch his new war 'against terror' and other wars later. Orwellian tactics of suppression and an obedient media will smother any opposition. Of course the Bush Administration and their mass media will deny such diabolical evil. They could very easily disprove the damming 9/11 accusations of foul play by answering the many 9/11 questions posed by organizations, such as "9/11 Truth". However they won't and could not do this. Try a Google search for "9/11 Truth" and "False Flag Covert Operations" for verification that this is not an unreasonable theory to explain today's extraordinary happenings. Can Americans be fooled again, this time for a much bigger longer war? I would hope not, but I reluctantly think yes. Although several US and foreign analysts have written that Bush & Co will stage a new false flag and blame Iran as an excuse to make war, the warnings have been few and tend to be buried in an article rather than featured. Many very knowledgeable people avoid the issue as too extreme and controversial. Few Americans know about the US and other nations use of false flag incidents in the past, or even the many indications that the Bush Administration knew of, but did not try and prevent the 9/11 attacks. Mass media suppression of doubts and facts is crucial to maintaining the credibility of the Bush regime, and 'outlawing' of doubts. Many believe the Bush regime actually planned and staged this new 9/11 " Pearl Harbour " in order to gain public and Congressional support for the endless 'wars on terror' policies. The number grows daily, thanks to the Internet, in spite of mass media attempts to suppress the truth. Of course it is possible that various factors will prevent Bush from launching this insanity or something like it. We can hope. But action to help prevent the madness would be better than hoping. One action would be to forward this article and other similar warning articles you may find, to others. Another step is to research the subject.
