Does Israel
Plan Further Expansion Into Palestine?
Comment by Larry
Ross July 18, 2005
To stop further slaughter in the Middle East, please take action on the
possibility of massive bombing, invasion and slaughter of Palestinians
by Israel. Some of Sharon's most ardent supporters believe God gave Palestinian
territory to Israel 3,000 years ago, and that therefore Israel has the
right to drive Palestinians off the land and then possess it as their
own. The expansion of Israel into Palestine and building Jewish settlements
on Palestine land, is a part of this policy and was initiated by Sharon.
Israel needs resistance by the Palestinians and the consequent killing
of some Jews, which they call "terrorism", in order to justify
continued expansion, bulldogging Palestinian homes and stealing their
land.
If enough people do nothing it will be seen as a form of acquiescence
acceptance and encouragement of Sharon's actions. Israel has a long history
of expansion into neighbouring territories, particularly Palestine. It
has ignored UN resolutions to stop building new settlements in Palestine
and remove it's huge new wall, which illegally cuts through Palestinian
territory.
As a feint before their major expansion, it looks as if Sharon dramatically
announced withdrawal from Palestine as a way of getting general approval,
which would have been warranted if it was true. However, as suggested
in the following article, it looks like he withdrew settlers out of harm's
way, before he again faked provocation, in order to provide excuses for
a major massive expansion into Palestine.
War is both a science and an art. Some governments have huge budgets devoted
to developing and implementing various strategies, including false or
exaggerate accusations, outright lies, provocations, etc to persuade people
that their cause is just and should be supported. When a government plans
to deliberately initiate an aggressive war(not defensive) they tend to
increase their psywar tactics. Bush's war on Iraq is an excellent example
of effective psywar techniques that managed to fool the public, congress
and the media until the war became established. When the lies and fabrications
became known and obvious, the Bush Administration kept repeating the lies,
and claimed they were the victims of faulty CIA intelligence. However
this was a big lie as the CIA had advised against the war and the Bush
neocons (and Blair in UK) had doctored the so-called intelligence so that
it supported the war decision. Once in Iraq, they caught Saddam, found
no WMD, no al-Qaeda etc, no plans to make war on the US or UK etc. So
there was no logical reason to continue their war. War does not need logical
reasons.
Bush and Blair keep repeating
the lies and step up their war on the Iraq people. It seems almost miraculous
that even intelligent people can be fooled by this technique.
Some take the position that as their country is now in Iraq, they have
to stay there "to establish freedom and democracy" or a greater
disaster will happen.
Adolph Hitler and his Nazis used these techniques very effectively. He
said "the bigger the lie, the more people will believe it. He got
away with burning down the Reichstag, blaming terrorists and using that
as an excuse to seize dictatorial powers and initiate World War II. Sound
familiar if applied to events today?
Sharon, throughout his long political career, has always been very effective
using pyswar techniques, persuading the Israeli people to follow him.
A shroud of secrecy surrounds such organizations as Mossad, the CIA, MI5,
and Pentagon covert operations. Using these very highly funded organizations,
it seems to be relatively easy to fool most of the people most of the
time. The smaller percent of vocal opponents and doubters, can be ignored,
condemned and dismissed as "unpatriotic, anti-Semitic, conspiracy
nuts" and so on. Meanwhile the facade of "democratic freedoms
etc" can be preserved. So far, the public have let their governments
get away with these crimes and even re-elected leaders who practice these
techniques. Because of the secrecy factor, we often just don't know how
far a government will go in initiating crimes against their own people
as a method of getting their support for war against a chosen enemy.
Sharon's entire campaign to supposedly "pull out of Palestine"
looks as if it was nothing more than a ploy to get domestic and foreign
approval before his next aggression.
If Israel proceeds with it's plan, the consequences
could be a much bigger war involving other Arab states, and much more.
As always, it would probably have the tacit approval of the Bush Administration
which might use the situation to expand the war in Iraq, as well as proceed
with it's plans for wars with Iran and Syria which have been widely publicised.

A
Warning from Israel
What May Come After the
Evacuation of Jewish Settlers from the Gaza Strip
By URI DAVIS, ILAN PAPPE,
and TAMAR YARON
We feel that it is urgent and necessary to
raise the alarm regarding what may come during and after evacuation of
Jewish settlers from the Gaza Strip occupied by Israel in 1967, in the
event that the evacuation is implemented.
We held back on getting this statement published
and circulated, seeking additional feedback from our peers. The publication
in Ha'aretz (22 June 2005) quoting statements by General (Reserves) Eival
Giladi, the head of the Coordination and Strategy team of the Prime Minister's
Office, motivated us not to delay publication and circulation any further.
Confirming our worst fears, General (Res.) Eival Giladi went on record
in print and on television to the effect that "Israel will act in
a very resolute manner in order to prevent terror attacks and [militant]
fire while the disengagement is being implemented" and that "If
pinpoint response proves insufficient, we may have to use weaponry that
causes major collateral damage, including helicopters and planes, with
mounting danger to surrounding people." ~ ~ Continue
