Media Blitz For War With Iran

On reading Mike Whitney's article, I was struck by how complete is the U.S. media blitz for war with Iran and the lack of any factual basis for initiating a war with potentially horrible consequences for all humanity.
American mass media has certainly become the servant of the military/industrial complex, and the propagandist of the greatest criminal conspiracy in history, now operating out of Washington D.C.

As Whitney said: "Who could have imagined 4 years ago how utterly corrupted our media really is?"..no "facts, nor context, nor analysis, just the endless, repetitive fear-mongering of administration officials".

"...the most thorough examination of any country in the history of the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty (NPT)" produced ...
"...no evidence of a nuclear weapons program or any diversion of nuclear material" in Iran according to Mohammed ElBaradei , head of the IAEA, Mike Whitney said.

Never has the double standard of behaviour been so blatantly obvious, or so acceptable as normal and right by so many conditioned "sheeple" in the U.S. and throughout the western world. Although Iran has no nuclear weapons and may be as far as ten years away from developing them, even if it wanted to, the U.S. and Israel have thousands of these weapons and could annihilate Iran in hours.

Also, as Whitney said: "The Bush administration is developing a new regime of low-yield, bunker-busting "usable" nukes", as well as "poisoning the groundwater and great swaths of the Iraqi countryside with Depleted Uranium; ensuring environmental devastation, cancer and birth defects will continue into perpetuity."

This poison is blowing around the world and will affect us all. No wonder the Bush administration sanctimoniously claims it is virtuous, just, and Christian, while those it is about to kill are demonised as part of an "axis of evil" and deserve the hell the U.S. is preparing for them..

So few people seem to care about the impending massacre, and less do anything about it. It is 'business as usual' Why?
People don't yet realise that in the end, the nuclear Armageddon is not just for the Iranians. It will expand, accelerate and escalate until it consumes all of us - men, women and children. Every living thing. Some future anthropologist from a distant planet might wonder why we did this to ourselves and why we did so little to prevent it. Do you know?.

Human society and technology has evolved to the point where there are 8 unlimited sources of destructive energy that can destroy the world. These nuclear weapon stockpiles are in the hands of a few tiny groups of mainly very unscrupulous people with unlimited power. They have the means to deliver these Armageddon thunderbolts, while they manipulate, intimidate and control their populations.

If it starts, there is no way back - no second chances - no "'we'll do better next time" as we tried to do after
World Wars one and two.

The 48 Hour Media-blitz For War With Iran

In the last 48 hours all the major players in the Bush administration have issued statements warning of the impending danger of Iran.

Cheney blasted the Islamic regime saying there would be "meaningful consequences" if it refuses to comply with international demands to stop its nuclear program.

Condoleezza Rice said, "We face no greater challenge from a single country than Iran… This is a country that seems determined, it seems, to develop a nuclear weapon in defiance of the international community that is determined that they should not get one."

Donald Rumsfeld warned at a press conference on Wednesday, "I will say this about Iran. They are currently putting people into Iraq to do things that are harmful to the future of Iraq. We know it, and it is something that they, I think, will look back on as having been an error in judgment."

Bush chimed in too, "Iran must not have a nuclear weapon. The most destabilizing thing that can happen in this region and in the world is for Iran to have a nuclear weapon."
