COMMENT AND ANALYSIS on following
paper, by Larry Ross, May 2, 2004
As I have warned in previous papers, it looks from the following paper,
as if the Bush 2004 Campaign workers have been told to forget the 2004
Bush reelection campaign.
It seems as if Bush strategists, realizing Bush would lose in Nov 2004,
have decided to try another strategy to perpetuate Bush's term as illegal
President of the US. They might think: Illegal means were used in 2000,
and worked. Why not again? The strategy might be postponment of elections
for an indeterminate time - after some well-timed (like 9/11 seemed so
well-timed)) so-called "terrorist event". The event could be
used to justify draconian measures - like a stricter patriot act, curtailment
of civil liberties especially for critics, and making phoney excuses,
based on phoney evidence, to make war on the next target state to be blamed.
Such false accusations are likely to be repeated endlessly by a subservient
and cooperative mass media. The Bush administration did it successfully
enough to accomplish their goals in Iraq and get away with it - so far.
Efforts to expose Bush lies have been only partially successful to date.
He and other neocons in the administration are still in position to implement
the next steps in their plan.
It is logical for them to think - why not again.?

What's going
on with the Bush re-election campaign?
By Al Martin, April
29, 2004
" Interestingly enough, and I'm not the only one who has noticed
this, the Bush re-election campaign, being run by Karen Hughes has not
only pulled out of 18 states, but they have now begun to close down offices
in some of the large states -- like Florida, California and New York,
where they'd really want to make an effort to concentrate.
There again, it begs the question: they
are increasingly acting as if they don't even care. It's increasingly
obvious that they're not even bothering to mount a real campaign and that
their only real agenda at this point seems to be to insure that the sunset
provisions of the Patriot I Act are removed, to give the President authority
to cancel or postpone elections by edict. I think that's what they're
really concerned about. Secondly, they're concerned that the Democrats
don't foster any vote to reduce, at least for now, the big, multi-trillion-dollar
tax cuts for the Republican rich.
And that, at this point, seems to be their
only agenda. They're not campaigning. They have not instructed their individual-state
campaign managers. In 34 of the 50 states, they haven't even bothered
to print any political paraphernalia - posters, handbills, pens, and bumper
stickers. What does that tell you?" |
