Karl Rove Loses Debate on War With Iran - Cheney Wins

Apparently Rove, "Bush's brains" was against a war with Iran, which Cheney wanted. Karen Kwiatkowski's article is among many that indicate this war is now more likely. The many disastrous consequences, including escalation to a much wider, longer war and/or series of wars are okay with Cheney, Bush and the rest of the Bush Administration. If staged adroitly, based on the present broad range of lies, as were used to gain support for the Iraq war, Bush may also get away with this new deception. He knows he can count on the US mass media to repeat his lies and cover all his deceptions. They did it for the Iraq war and will do it again. Although Bush-Cheney could launch the war based on their present demonization of Iran and series of false accusations, and probably still get enough public support, Bush may go further.

If Bush plans to use nuclear weapons on Iran and then proclaim a state of emergency, he may feel he needs to stage a bigger pre-war event to justify the millions of deaths and destruction that would follow, and gain even more popular support. For this his Administration may mastermind a false flag US-staged terrorist attack on the US, blame it on Iran, and then justify launching a pre-emptive nuclear strike. There could be all kinds of benefits for the Bush Administration, if he gets away with it. There are many factors which suggest he could get away with such a diabolically evil conspiracy. Most leading Democrats such as Hillary Clinton, have already jumped on the Bush 'War-on-Iran' band wagon

Unless the new war quickly escalates to a nuclear World War III, ending humanity, the gamble could produce many benefits for the Bush Administration:

1. Increased popularity for Bush, and other Republicans. Bush will be seen in the same way he was seen after 9/11 - an American hero war President saving and defending America from the evil terrorists (this time Iranians, last time Iraqis).
   
2. Bush will increase his power and get Congressional approval for whatever he wants - including the most draconian dictatorial laws.
   
3. They will be able to declare a state of emergency, suspend even more civil rights and outlaw dissent.
   
4. The 2008 elections may be postponed because of the emergency, leaving Bush to rule unchallenged indefinitely, or until he has secured, for like-minded Republicans, a succession that will continue to implement Bush's neocon master plan for the US.
   
5. There are many other benefits, such as plans to further sideline the US Constitution, turn the UN into more of an instrument of US foreign policy, and implement a policy of severe repression, even imprisonment of Bush's critics including those who try to expose the truth. Halliburton has completed the new prisons which are now ready.
   
6. There will only be one set of truths about the things that matter, which will be defined by the Bush neocon administration. Only they will possess the right to define what is important, reality and what is heresy and 'helping America 's enemies'. A clue to America 's future is Bush's statement: "You are either with us in the war on terror, or with the terrorists". Opponents to Bush are automatically defined as "with the terrorists" and will be dealt with accordingly. Perhaps that is why so many people have become apathetic, in denial, afraid and silent about what is happening. Although a majority of Americans are opposed to Bush's wars, many are likely to be fooled again by the series of lies and by a well-staged 'false flag' attack. That could be enough to convert them into supporting the new war.

If humanity survives at all, it will be a severe "Orwellian 1984" world. Many other allied countries, such as Britain and Australia may follow Bush's example. Only with this kind of dictatorial world can Bush and his many accomplices and 'Coalition of the Willing' allies ensure that they are not held accountable for their multiple war crimes and that neocon reality and their myths will prevail as truth.

However Bush does it, the war may soon begin. Those that oppose it have very little time left to Impeach Bush-Cheney before they commence this calamity. It will be too late to take effective action, once Bush starts a new major war.

What Will Clueless and Hopeless Do Next?

Karl Rove's long-awaited departure from the White House makes sense, and not just because he really does need to spend more time with his family. Rove is a strange guy. And I say that not because of the rapping he has taken his critics, but because of his own rapping.

But that's just my opinion. Fact is, we are now Roveless.

Despite his unusual pasty whiteness and the political angst Rove created, George W. Bush benefited greatly from Rove's hard work and intellect. Affectionately known as "Turd Blossom," we do know Rove was a trusted inner circle guy.

But there is another Rove – perhaps a bit less trusted within the inner circle. Three things come to mind, and I believe they matter when we consider Rove's departure and what it means to the country.

Remember the run-up to the 2004 re-selection of George W. Bush as President? Well, Rove understood a bit about conservatism. He understood how Republicans everywhere were being tarnished by connection to the Bush foreign policy – which is to say Dick Cheney. It turns out, for most people, thinking about Cheney in his über-vice presidential offices is like taking a deep hearty whiff of a turd blossom. The real Turd Blossom knew this, and suggested some political directions that didn't include Cheney. His actions behind the scenes offered insight into the perverse extremity of Cheney's foreign policy prescriptions, even among his own team.

Then last summer, Karl Rove cooperated fully with the Fitzgerald investigation , that concluded with felony convictions for obstruction and perjury for Cheney's close friend and chief of staff, Scooter Libby. Many of Rove's critics hoped that he himself would be indicted. Many believed Rove too had committed crimes in his dealings with either investigators or Congress. Didn't happen. Bush's recent commutation of Libby may be seen as loyalty rewarded, as well as a slap in the face for Rove, who certainly helped seal Libby's legal fate and write a key part of the Bush-Cheney legacy.
