Scholars For 9/11 Truth Comment by Larry Ross, December 16, 2006
This is one of the best sites for the scientific investigation of the 9/11 attacks on World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. It separates truth from fiction and documents what is probably the largest conspiracy in human history, and one which has the most serious consequences for humanity. Because it is so horrific and from many perspectives seems improbable, impossible and even ridiculous, people tend to dismiss 9/11 alternative explanations without serious consideration of any of the evidence or questions raised. Also, Government, propagandist commentators and most media promote the idea that people who question official explanations of the 9/11 attack are "nutty conspiracy theorists" who should be laughed at and dismissed and certainly not taken seriously. Unfortunately this strategy works with many who cannot stomach being considered a "nutty conspiracy theorist" and who then, and forever after, will have a diminished reputation and credibility attached to just about anything they might say or write. This can be a terrible and crippling price to pay. However people will find this is a mistake if they have the courage to postpone their judgements long enough to at least look at the formidable catalogue of scholarly research, reports and articles by highly qualified and recognised scholars and other professional people. Those who jump over the barrier and dispassionately examine the evidence, become willing to pay the price of being called "nutty conspiracy theorists." They become so alarmed and convinced that the truth is too horrendous to conceal, and that unless the culprits are stopped they will commit worse crimes. One motivator for people to do this should be their knowledge of how the Bush Administration created falsehoods and lies to persuade Americans and others to support their totally illegal and unjustified bombing and invasion of Iraq - the huge multi-billion dollar corruption scandals that followed, the killing of 655,000 people, the US-UK threats to use nuclear weapons, and other major crimes. Surely if they will commit crimes of this magnitude, there is no logical reason to believe they have not committed other crimes, or planned to commit more, such as the well-planned and publicised war on Iran using today, the same kind of lies that the Bush Administration created for its assault on Iraq.
