This article by Michel Chossudovsky should be read with his first article on "Planned US-Israeli Attack on Iran" written almost a year ago on May 1, 2005. They are very thorough, well-researched papers with vitally important information and warnings about a major nuclear assault against Iran. Chossudovsky has excellent credentials and a good reputation. Thus the claims and information he reveals should be taken very seriously and acted upon by everyone who wants to preserve our world.

People should be reminded that the world is our home. It is a very precious jewel, and belongs to all of us who inhabit it. It does not belong to Bush and his cronies to play with, spread D.U. weapons poisoning that lasts forever, or destroy in their feverish rush for power, oil and profits. We owe it to ourselves, children and future generations not to passively stand by, while a power drunk rogue government, destroys much of the world and plans to start a nuclear war that could quickly expand to a global catastrophe.

Their planned nuclear war could kill millions and pollute the land with deadly nuclear radiation. A global war could develop, starting in the middle east and spreading to other states.

Once U.S. and/or Israeli nuclear weapons are used in a pre-emptive nuclear strike, no-one can presume to accurately predict what may happen. A series of unexpected, uncontrollable and massively destructive events could follow.

My guess is that the war would escalate out of control, spread to other states and some of the other 8 nuclear arsenals. It would become international. Within hours it could become a global nuclear disaster with billions dead, wounded and dying.

Medical care would be virtually non-existent. Deadly radiation will spread over the planet, slowly killing people who were not killed initially by nuclear blast, fire and other effects. A nuclear winter could follow in the aftermath of the war, which would kill all life. Diseases, plagues, starvation and barbarism would mean slow agonising deaths for the remainder.

No-one would be safe in New Zealand, or anywhere else in the world. Rapid escalation would likely happen. This means Bush's nuclear war would fly out of control. Nuclear radiation, pollution and nuclear winter would soon make earth a devastated wasteland.

The Bush Administration has fooled itself, and sold the American people and others, that it can stage a controllable nuclear war. They are trying to sell the idea that their mini nukes are kind to civilians. What absolute poppycock their psywar department has concocted for the media to repeat to a gullible public. They would calculate that their lies to justify the Iraq war worked so well, they can use the same tactics to promote a nuclear war. So long as they control the mass media, they control what people know and the information they are given.

Please believe me, these people are not sane, rational, or kind human beings. Remember the saying "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely". It's happened and the madmen have the power to destroy the world many times over.

They are mad criminals, power drunk and engaged in colossal crimes and conspiracies. Having been so successful as conspirators starting wars, spreading death, destruction, chaos and now civil war in Iraq, they are emboldened to try much bigger crimes under the banner of 'the war against terror in order to save our democracy and freedoms'.

It is essential for everyone to read Chossudovsky, and then help prevent this catastrophe from happening.

Planned US-Israeli Attack on Iran

At the outset of Bush's second term, Vice President Dick Cheney dropped a bombshell. He hinted, in no uncertain terms, that Iran was "right at the top of the list" of the rogue enemies of America, and that Israel would, so to speak, "be doing the bombing for us", without US military involvement and without us putting pressure on them "to do it":

"One of the concerns people have is that Israel might do it without being asked... Given the fact that Iran has a stated policy that their objective is the destruction of Israel, the Israelis might well decide to act first, and let the rest of the world worry about cleaning up the diplomatic mess afterwards," (quoted from an MSNBC Interview Jan 2005)

Israel is a Rottweiler on a leash: The US wants to "set Israel loose" to attack Iran. Commenting the Vice President's assertion, former National Security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski in an interview on PBS, confirmed with some apprehension, yes: Cheney wants Prime Ariel Sharon to act on America's behalf and "do it" for us:

"Iran I think is more ambiguous. And there the issue is certainly not tyranny; it's nuclear weapons. And the vice president today in a kind of a strange parallel statement to this declaration of freedom hinted that the Israelis may do it and in fact used language which sounds like a justification or even an encouragement for the Israelis to do it."

Nuclear War against Iran

The launching of an outright war using nuclear warheads against Iran is now in the final planning stages.

Coalition partners, which include the US, Israel and Turkey are in "an advanced stage of readiness".

Various military exercises have been conducted, starting in early 2005. In turn, the Iranian Armed Forces have also conducted large scale military maneuvers in the Persian Gulf in December in anticipation of a US sponsored attack.

Since early 2005, there has been intense shuttle diplomacy between Washington, Tel Aviv, Ankara and NATO headquarters in Brussels.

In recent developments, CIA Director Porter Goss on a mission to Ankara, requested Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan "to provide political and logistic support for air strikes against Iranian nuclear and military targets." Goss reportedly asked " for special cooperation from Turkish intelligence to help prepare and monitor the operation." (DDP, 30 December 2005).

In turn, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has given the green light to the Israeli Armed Forces to launch the attacks by the end of March:

All top Israeli officials have pronounced the end of March, 2006, as the deadline for launching a military assault on Iran.... The end of March date also coincides with the IAEA report to the UN on Iran's nuclear energy program. Israeli policymakers believe that their threats may influence the report, or at least force the kind of ambiguities, which can be exploited by its overseas supporters to promote Security Council sanctions or justify Israeli military action.
