Preparations
to Bomb Iran
Comment by Larry Ross, February 15,

Here is more evidence that the Bush Administration is going
to try and expand it's oil empire in the Middle East by attacking Iran.
The so-called nuclear threat from Iran is being used as an excuse, in
the same way as it was for the phoney war against Iraq, even though the
U.S. and Israel each have enough nuclear weapons to wipe out Iran anytime.
Also, why is it okay for Israel and the U.S. at least 7 other states to
have nuclear weapons, but a cause of war if Iran might make such weapons.?
The answer is that Iran has oil and threatens to set up a new oil market
based on the euro rather than the U.S. dollar. However an attack may stop
Iran's oil shipments and cause world oil prices to go sky high. It will
increase Arab anger and boost terrorist events world-wide.
The consequences could spread and lead to the long-feared U.S. use of
nuclear weapons against Iran, particularly if a significant terrorist
event is staged in the U.S. and Iran is blamed. The U.S. public could
be misled and misinformed and then persuaded to support the use of nuclear
weapons against Iran.
Nuclear reactions from any of the other 8 nuclear weapons states could
spread the war. There would be further pressures on some of the other
states to "use their nuclear weapons or lose them" leading to
a general nuclear war.
It would be worthwhile for other states and peace groups to act now to
try and prevent U.S. attacks against Iran, because it would be totally
unjustified, and could lead to many adverse effects as detailed above.
As with the Iraq war, it would be too late for protest after war begins,
to have any effect.

"The Telegraph" -- -- Strategists
at the Pentagon are drawing up plans for devastating bombing raids backed
by submarine-launched ballistic missile attacks against Iran's nuclear
sites as a "last resort" to block Teheran's efforts to develop
an atomic bomb.
Central Command and Strategic Command planners
are identifying targets, assessing weapon-loads and working on logistics
for an operation, the Sunday Telegraph has learnt.
