Evidence of Planned US Attack on Iran
Comment by Larry
Ross, December 27, 2005
I suggest that readers make allowance for the poor translation from German
in the article below. It is clear that the Bush Administration has Iran
in its bomb sites for sometime in 2006 as previously posted articles indicate.
Also, that Turkey "fears for the whole region" if the U.S. attacks;
that it would be counterproductive, and "provide Ahmadinedschad with
even more supporters".
The other possibility is that Iran will respond to the attack in unexpected
ways that could cause the U.S. to escalate the attacks further - even
to the use of nuclear weapons. The U.S. has already justified pre-emptive
nuclear attacks on non-nuclear states and the use of nuclear weapons as
a part of conventional military operations. So the ideology and doctrines
are in place for nuclear weapons usage. There is no way the U.S. could
take on a conventional war with Iran and prevail, without using it's nuclear
superiority. Americans have been conditioned to expect a war with Iran
for some months. They are almost certain to accept Bush's excuse when
it happens - whatever it may be - and then accept Bush's excuse if he
uses nuclear weapons "to save American lives". That will be
a winning argument with the American public and trump dissent over Bush's
lack of 'evidence' and lack of reasons for making war against Iran in
the first place. Bush has shown he doesn't really need legitimate excuses.
Any excuses, however false and unjustified, will do.
What happens once nuclear weapons are introduced is anyone's guess. It
could spin out of control into general nuclear war involving the 9 nuclear
weapon states. That spells the end for humanity. There is curiously little
protest or adverse comment about this dire prospect. Why?
Another possibility is that, like Iraq, Iran won't strike back and will
quickly accept defeat. That would greatly embolden Bush who will be even
more convinced that God is on his side. Soon, born-again Bush would expand
the crusade to the next state - perhaps Syria. Will the other 8 nuclear
weapon states be able to refrain from using their missiles, perhaps in
hopes of saving the world, and that America will come to it's senses before
it's too late.? This is unlikely.
The U.S. has considered using nuclear weapons many times since 1945, but
never to this day, have they developed the doctrines to make it an easy
choice. Now it is a much easier choice for the US military to make.
If they proceed with nuclear weapons use against Iran and get away with
it without precipitating a general nuclear war,
there will be little to hold them back. They are likely to use this option
again against their next target and then continue until it spins out of
control into a holocaust..
This is a terrible but very real prospect. I believe more people should
recognise this problem and try to work within their limitations to solve
the problem and reduce the threat.

Speculations
over US attack against Iran
By Jürgen Gottschlich,

"Der Spiegel" -- -- Are the USA planning a rocket
attack against targets in Iran? In secret discussions Washington was preparing
the Allies for appropriate air strikes in 2006, agencies disclosed to
day. Especially in the NATO country Turkey, speculations about an attack
against Iranian nuclear facilities are taking place.
Istanbul/Berlin - The News exploded like
a Bomb in the tranquil prechristmas mood.:Washington was preparing close
allies for air strikes against Iran. This was disseminated today by the
German Depeschenservice in a text by the former "FAZ" editor
- Head and Secret Service Expert Udo Ulfkotte - however substantial doubts
on this matter are certainly justified.
As source given by the not undoubted journalist
Ulfkotte "Western security circles" without naming specifics.
According to his statements, CIA-Chief Porter Goss in the Turkish Capital
Ankara asked M.P. Recep Tayyip Erdogan to support the air strikes against
Iranian Nuclear and Military Installations especially with uninhibited
exchange of secret information. At the present plan the attacks were planned
for 2006.
In recent weeks The governments of Saudi-Arabia,
Jordan, Oman and Pakistan have been informed about the implementations
of military plans. The air strikes were described as "possible option"
a specific point in time was however, not mentioned.
CIA Chief Gloss was now to have provided
the Turkish Security Administration in Ankara with three information packages,
one of which supposedly includes that Teheran cooperate with the terror
organization Al-Qaida.
