Speaker Mohammed al-Jabawe. He spoke on the history of Iraq and the various empires that have occupied it and other areas and divided the Middle East to suit themselves into different states. He detailed the UK attack and occupation of Iraq and the present bombing, invasion and occupation by the US.

He was followed by 2 other Iraqi speakers who gave details of the barbarity of the US attacks, bombings, imprisoning, tortures, that continues without any justification.
The Iraq war was planned well before the attack on the US, September 11, 2001.
People who oppose US occupation are not the so-called "terrorists" claimed by the US/UK/Australian coalition, but patriots like the French resistance during the Nazi occupation, or the American resistance, who fought the British invasion and occupation during the 1776 American War of Independence.

Larry introduced resolutions which were seconded and passed unanimously as follows:

PEACE ACTION NETWORK
Resolutions passed at “Iraqi Voices” meeting April 11, 2005 at WEA

People at the meeting approve the resolutions below and authorised their general release to groups and media.

  1. We support UN Secretary/General Kofi Annan’s statement that the US invasion of Iraq is illegal and without any justification.

  2. Therefore it was resolved that all foreign military forces cease hostilities and withdraw from Iraq immediately.

  3. That the invading nations pay reparations to the people and state of Iraq for the killing, torturing and injuring over 100,000 people (as found by the October, 2004 Lancet study) and for their destruction of Iraqi property.

  4. That the UN help rebuild and rehabilitate Iraq with major reparation payments from the invading nations.

  5. That a statement incorporating these resolutions be circulated to various governments, to the UN and to the media.
